The Longevity of Healing Earthside

Statement:

My work expands awareness of energy that has a subtle vibrational effect on the body. The paintings reflect a geometric pattern derived from intentional connectivity to the Earth’s energetic rhythm. By becoming aware of subtle vibrations, we co-exist with the energy rhythm of the Earth and fall into a broader alignment. This acknowledgment of awareness is the longevity of healing Earthside. Since every step of the creative process is carried out with the intention of attuning to align with the Earth, the canvas itself is of the Earth. This intention is emphasized through the unstretched canvas, natural dye colorant, surface stitching, and glass bead adornments to create each painting structurally. Not only is the work functioning as an individual field of center, but by being in the presence of the paintings, energy is emitted into the environment, creating a space of alignment and harmony. The work provides a place to rest, to be deeply attuned to its surface, and to have an individual experience with it. By being aware of the embedded energetic relations of the surfaces, the body is more readily available to resonate with being grounded within the energy of the Earth. Like I said, the work acts as a bridge, thus concluding that these paintings provide the potential to encourage alignment by spending time with them. Energetic relations emerge not only in the work's final installation but throughout its entire becoming process.
